A Baby Story

I found this on a friends blog and I thought it looked fun!


1. Where were you when you first found out you were pregnant?
1st: In the bathroom at work!
2nd: At home in my bathroom in UT


2. Who was with you?
1st: No one
2nd: No one

3. What was your first reaction?
1st: Well I wasn't very patient for the pink line to show up and I threw it away in the trash thinking it was negative. Then I went back to work and I kept getting a nagging feeling to go dig it out and look at it again. I did!
2nd: Scared to death!!! Then excited once it sunk in a little.

4.What was your husband's reaction?
1st: Well bless his heart, he always thinks about money first. I don't blame him. Then when that wears off he gets excited!
2nd: Scared to death, then semi excited.

5. Who was the first person you told?
1st: My friend Lisa. She helped me plan a really cute way to tell Chad.
2nd: My dearest friend Melece

6. Were the pregnancies planned?
1st: Totally
2nd: Not a bit!

7. Was everyone happy for you?
1st: Of course! No one knew yet what happens to me when I get pregnant!
2nd: For the outcome, yes. For the pregnancy, no.


8. What was the sex?
1st: Girl
2nd: Boy


9. What was the nursery theme/colors?
1st: Just plain pink sheets cause we were very poor and living in a tiny apartment.
2nd: Blue and brown with puppies


10. Did anyone throw a shower for you?
1st: Yep my friend Melece and my MIL
2nd: Yes, mu visiting teachers


11. Did you get any outfits you wouldn't use?
1st: Yeah a couple. I got a lot of hand me downs and some were pretty used.
2nd: Same.


12. How much weight did you gain?
1st: 0 lbs
2nd: 60 lbs
I know crazy huh? With Ben I had to take a steroid drug that made me gain a ton of weight!


13. Did you get stretch marks?
1st: No
2nd: Yes! I am so mad. I made it threw one without getting any! But then with Ben I was a walking planet!

14. Did you crave anything crazy?
1st: Taco Bell in the middle of the night.
2nd: Candy! Mostly Jolly Ranchers. Del Taco.

15. Who or what got on your nerves the most?
1st: Everyone!
2nd: Everyone! I am so cranky when I'm prego.

16. Where were you when you went into labor?
1st: Well I was induced 2 weeks early.
2nd: Never had the chance to. I had to have an emergency C-section 6 weeks early!

17. Did you have any complications?
1st:...........there are no words to describe. Lets just say, YES!
2nd: Same

18. Did your water break?
1st: The Dr. broke it for me.
2nd: Didn't get the chance to. They broke it as they were doing the C-section.


19. Who drove you to the hospital?
1st: Chad
2nd: No one. I was already there and had been for weeks!


20. Did you go early or late?
1st: 2 weeks early
2nd: 6 weeks early

21. Who was in the room?
1st: Just Chad and the nurses and dr.
2nd: Just Chad and the nurses and the 2 drs.

22. Did you video tape it?
No way!

23. Did you have any pain medication?
1st: 2 epidurals and 1 spinal tap.
2nd: 1 eipdural

24. Did you have a c-section or natural?
Both were emergency C-sections

25. What was your reaction to the birth?
1st: Ecstatic!!
2nd: Very very nervous! He had to be swept away to the NICU and I didn't get to hold him for days!

26. How big was the baby?
1st: 7 lbs 8 oz.
2nd: 7 lbs 12 oz. He was a gigantic premie!!

27. What was the baby's full name?
1st: Mallory Nicole Miller
2nd: Benjamin James Miller


28. Did your husband cry?
Yes, it truly is the most amazing thing ever!

29. When is the next one coming?
Oh man that is a hard question. It stirs up all kinds of feelings. I really really would love to have another one but I don't know if I am brave enough. It might end up killing me next time.


30. If you could, would you do it all over again?
Yes I really would. But lets hope getting my gal bladder removed after Ben helps with the next pregnancy!
